How To Stop Procrastinating

You are reading this article because you probably procrastinate to some degree. This article will help you begin to stop being such a procrastinator. If you are successful, you probably don't have to worry about failing exams, losing friends because you lost track of time and even make more money by staying focused on your work. I hope you enjoy.

1. Think Back

First, you should look at how much time you waste procrastinating. You would be surprised how much time you waste playing video games, watching television or just listening to music. This will make you see how much time you can put into doing something productive in your life.

2. Write It Down

Have some goals that you want to achieve and write them down somewhere. You can use a program like Google Calendar or a private journal that you carry around with you if you want. Make sure that the goals can be attainable in the time that you want them to be achieved.

3. Focus

Then you should start on achieving those goals. Even if you don't feel like it, you should begin at once. Once you stop procrastinating and begin doing, it will be easy as pie. The hardest working out is actually just getting there, actually starting the process of working out. Once you're their, that's it.

4. Seek Help

If you are having trouble achieving what you want, don't be scared to ask someone for help. Or you can seek out help on the internet if no one knows how to help you. There are so many different websites you can go to in order to learn how to accomplish your goals.

5. Slow but Steady

Remember to pay yourself first. When you have a long-term goal that you want to achieve, it will be hard waiting for that goal to come. That's why you should treat yourself to a movie or a nice dinner from time to time. You can have fun and take a break but make sure you get back into your goal setting mode.

6. Relax From Time to Time

Just because you are trying not to procrastinate anymore doesn't mean you can't have some fun from time to time. Make sure that you are not getting distracted with them however. Have control over how much time you are hanging out with friends or talking on the phone, playing video games, watching movies, etc...

7. Try a Course

If you can, you should take a class or seminar in time management. They can help you even more in learning how not to procrastinate and help you achieve your short-term and long term goals. Start NOW.
