How to Sleep on a Hot Night

On those hot nights and you do not have any AC it is very hard to go to sleep. Even if you are moving in different positions and thinking about polar ice caps you may still be getting hotter. Here are a few tips to keep your body temperature low so you can get to bed. Read on.

1. Thin Bed Sheets

Use only very thin sheets for your covers. Take away all of your heavy sheets off your bed because this will trap heat and make you hot even if you are not using them.

2. AC DIY

You can make your own air conditioner with cheap house products. Simply take a fan and a bag of ice. Turn your fan on with a bowl of your ice in front of it. This will cause the cool air from the ice to come over you. The air will be very cool for awhile until the ice melts to water of course.

3. Open a Window

Air can get cooler when at night, so you can open your window slightly to get the cold air in your house. It should help you be a bit more warmer with the night winds blowing into your room.

4. Improvise

Take a few arm bands and headbands and wet them in cool water. Than wring them dry so they are not soaking wet. Then place them around your head and arms. If these parts of your body stays cool the rest of your body will be.

5. Cool Down

Wet your face with cool water and dab it dry.  You can always sleep naked so your body heat is not trapped within heavy sleepwear. Or you can sleep in very thin linen.
